The NGO was created on September 28, 2017 in Belo Horizonte-MG, by Edmilson Marques (Edy), a former Sports massage therapist and three-time Brazilian champion for Minas Tênis Clube. It was officially registered on February 6, 2018, at the Civil Registry of Legal Entities, as a Civil Society Organization - NGO - Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organization and started to officially act in the care of cancer patients who are undergoing cancer treatment.
The NGO Fio de Luz, maintains a wig factory that is dedicated to manufacturing wigs exclusively for donation. and they like our work and also the collection of our partners such as beauty salons and the cancer centers we serve, we also count with donations from people who admire and believe in our work..
In each oncology center, we maintain a wig bank with exhibitors and mannequins so that the patients of this unit can receive their wig at the place of treatment, in return they carry out campaigns to collect hair that are turned into wigs and made available to the centers. oncology.
